ARSO( African Organization for Standardization) in conjunction with Apex Management system invites students in african college/universities to enter for its 2nd continental essay competition.The theme for this year’s contest is: The role of Standards in promoting sustainable Agriculture and food security in Africa .
Prizes
AT NATIONAL LEVEL (National Standards body is responsible for the awarding)
AT REGIONAL LEVEL
Regions include: Central Africa, Eastern Africa, North Africa, Southern Africa and West Africa
- 1st position – $500 USD + fully paid trip to ARSO 21ST General Assembly (Best Male and best Female)
- 2nd position – $400 USD, + fully paid trip to ARSO 21ST General Assembly (Best Male and best Female)
- 3rd position – $300 USD + fully paid trip to ARSO 21ST General Assembly (Best Male and best Female)
AT CONTINENTAL LEVEL
- 1st position – $1000 USD + fully paid trip to ARSO 21ST General Assembly (Best Male and best Female)
- 2nd position – $800 USD + fully paid trip to ARSO 21ST General Assembly (Best Male and best Female)
- 3rd position – $500 USD + fully paid trip to ARSO 21ST General Assembly (Best Male and best Female)
Eligibility
- Entrants must be under the age of 35;
- Open to Citizens of all African Countries who are currently living in Africa and studying in a university/college recognized by the local commission for university education or equivalent body
Essay Requirements
- Essays should be between 1000 – 1200 words
- Essays should be double spaced and presented in Century Gothic, size 12
- Essays may be submitted in English or French at Regional level but at National level the essays may be submitted as per preferred language by the National Standards Body
- Authors may use up to 50 words (excluded from 1000-1200 essay limit)go describe themselves. Information should include their names, course and year of study, name,town and country in which their university is located.
- Essays that focus on the work of a particular person, organization or brand name
- Essays that have been shown or accepted for other competitions or published in any form are not acceptable
