NextBillion.org is now accepting mentor and mentee applications for Cohort 2. It is a 12-week online mentorship program that connects people with disabilities to industry professionals from top technology companies such as Facebook, Microsoft, Google, Paypal, etc. NextBillion.org a place where you get the support you need, a community of like-minded people.
Over the past few days, universities & organizations like Stanford, NYU, Berkeley, Hearing Loss Association, Rick Hansen Foundation and many others have been able to share this opportunity with their students. They have received some amazing applications from mentors & mentees!
Eligibility
- Open to Youth & Professionals with both visible and invisible disabilities, preferably in North America
- Students with disabilities & professionals in engineering, product, design or technology are eligible to participate as mentees or mentors.
Mentee:
- University students passionate about design, product, engineering or technology
- Anyone with a visible or invisible disability
- Based in Canada or United States
- Time commitment: Min. 3 hours a week
Mentor:
- Industry professionals with experience in design, product, engineering or technology
- Anyone with or without a disability
- Based in Canada or United States
- Time commitment: Min. 2 hours a week
