The Japanese Trust Funds is now accepting innovative proposals for the Japan Special Fund Poverty Reduction Program (JPO). The funds are targeted at projects that support communities and vulnerable groups. Projects will receive funding between $500,000 and $1 million
The JSF is the largest trust fund at the Bank and has been a major IDB-Japan partnership effort and contribution to the development of Latin America and the Caribbean. Resources from the Japanese Trust Funds aim to support small and low-income countries in the social sectors, the environment, infrastructure, and productive activities.
Eligibility
International organizations from 26 borrowing countries are eligible to apply for this program. The eligible sectors are:
- health
- education
- nutrition
- water and sanitation
- social development
- the environment
- natural disasters prevention
- civil society.
