Sony’s ‘Supersong’ Global Music Contest – Win a Trip to 2014 FIFA World Cup

Sony presents the Global Music Contest for 2014 FIFA World Cup™. Supersong is your opportunity to make music history, by writing and creating a song for the 2014 FIFA World Cup Brazil™.

Write a song about 2014 FIFA World Cup Brazil™and record a video singing it. Upload this video to youtube or vimeo and save the link for the next step! Fill the form here with your lyrics of the song and video link. Tell your friends about the contest and ask them to vote on your video!

If you’re the winner, Ricky Martin will record your song and you’ll be at Brazil for the World Cup Final Match!


The winner will travel to Puerto Rico (or another location determined by the Co-Sponsors) to see Ricky Martin and a top music producer collaborate on the final version of the song, to be recorded by Ricky for the official FIFA World Cup ™ album, which will be released by Sony Music Entertainment.

The winner and a guest will also travel to Brazil and be VIP guests at the 2014 FIFA World Cup™ final match and closing ceremony in July 2014 and receive additional prizes.


SuperSong is open to entrants from the following countries who are at least the age of majority at time of entry.


  1. The judging criteria are as follows, each valued as one-third of an entry’s score: music quality, lyric quality and relevance to the FIFA World Cup football theme.
  2. The decision will be very much based on the experience of music experts, and Ricky Martin himself but of course they are looking for a creative song that has the power of becoming a big Global HIT.
  3. They will not be concerned about the technical production of the song / videos received but rather on the quality of the song / composition itself.

The official Contest Grand Prize Winner will be publically announced on or about February 6, 2014.
