Deadline: April 30, 2014

Apply for the Sustainable Entrepreneurship Award (SEA) 2014 now, to be presented on 7 October 2014! The SEA is oriented towards companies and persons around the world who live and understand ‘Sustainable Entrepreneurship’ in its best sense. Irrespective of the size of the company, the industry or country involved, anybody is welcome to submit their ideas, projects and business models within the sense of ‘Sustainable Entrepreneurship’.

A Sustainable Entrepreneur is an entrepreneur who has recognised a social problem and linked its solution with an innovative, profitable business idea, and by doing so shaped the world of today and tomorrow.

Award Categories

You can submit for the following categories:

  • Best Project: For the Best Project category, you can submit measures and business ideas which are already being implemented or already have been implemented. The expert jury votes for the best project as part of a two-stage process, and that project is then awarded EUR 10,000. The prize money is either to be invested in the current project, or in a follow-up project. The best submission from each of the eight SEA categories will also be published in our media, integrated into the press work, and presented within the course of the Gala, which is to be held at the Hofburg Vienna on 7 October 2014. We will also keep the public updated with how the most persuasive of these projects are progressing via a range of media channels throughout the year. With your consent, we will also support the suitable projects in searching for investors.

OR

  • Best Idea: measures and business ideas which are still at the planning stage can be submitted for the Best Idea. Please send documents providing information about the idea according to the formal criteria. Only submissions corresponding to these criteria can be taken into consideration. For the Best Idea, a special prize is presented including publication of the Best Idea into our media, and presentation of the Best Idea in the course of the Gala, which is to be held at the Hofburg Vienna on 7 October 2014. With your consent, SEA shall also support the suitable projects in searching for investors.

Evaluation Process

The Best Projects are selected in two stages:

  1. Quick check of the submissions. All positively evaluated submissions then go on to Stage 2.
  2. We will send you the detailed submission documents by e-mail.

Eligibility

All companies – irrespective of the size of the company, the industry it is in or the country involved, can submit their Sustainable Entrepreneurship ideas, projects and business models for SEA 2014.
