Entries are invited for the 4th International Reggae Poster Contest. The goal is simple: create a poster about Reggae Music – the rest is up to your imagination. Feel free to explore topics of Reggae covering any one of the genres. In addition, incorporate the contest theme as part of the poster design. Theme of the 2015 edition: Toward a Reggae Hall of Fame, Celebrating Great Jamaican Music.

The objective of the International Reggae Poster Contest is to build awareness for positive Reggae music and to celebrate the global achievements of Reggae and its impact on the world. The term Reggae used by the contest encompasses all the popular Jamaican musical genres; Ska, Rocksteady, Roots Reggae, Dub, Dancehall and the unique Jamaican Soundsystem.

SECOND PLACE

  • Collection of Reggae Music Box Sets.

THIRD PLACE

  • Rockers Movie (DVD) 25th Anniversary Edition;

  • Vinyl Records from THC Records Roots and Culture limited edition vinyl;
  • DVD Eddie Seaga Box Set;
  • Reggae Collection music Box Sets.

Prizes subject to change by the organizers of the Reggae Poster Contest.

Eligibility

  • The contest is open to artists and designers all over the world.

Application Process

  • Fill in the Submission Form.
    A separate submission form must accompany each poster/s submitted, naming each submitted poster.
    You must include on the entry form your complete and accurate information, including your e-mail address, your name from your poster Entry or Entries, a description of the submitted poster entry, and all other information requested.
    All information should be completed in English along with a title and a brief description of the poster/s you are submitting, and your biography, a maximum of 200 words.
  • Download IRPC Logo.
    You don’t have to use the Reggae Hall of Fame Logo. However, if you wish to use it, then you can download.
  • File Specifications:
    • Entry posters should be submitted at 50x70cm (1417×1984 pixels).
    • Resolution: 72 dpi,
    • Color Mode: RGB,
    • File Formats Accepted: JPEG.
  • Please name all 2 submissions (poster, submission form) as ___(name)___(last name)forIRPC2015.
  • Artists/Designers are allowed to submit any number of original poster Entries, however, you may not submit the same entry more than once. IRPC 2015 reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to restrict participation in the Contest to any person at any time for any reason and/or to disqualify any entry at any time for any reason.
    Please avoid sending similar posters.
  • Each entry must be an original unpublished work that you have created that does not include material in which a third party has intellectual property rights.
  • Each Entry must not be obscene, indecent, offensive, violent, hateful, or libelous, or contain any other content otherwise inconsistent with the purposes of the Reggae Poster Contest 2015 as described in these Official Rules and related materials.
  • Do not publish your submitted poster art until after the winners are announced.
  • Please do not enter promotional or advertising poster in the contest, these will not be accepted.
