National Arts Council South Africa International Post Graduate Bursary Programme 2020/2021 (up to R250,000)

Applications are open for the National Arts Council International Post Graduate Bursary Programme 2020/2021. The invitation is for post-graduate studies in the relevant art fields supported by the National Arts Council South Africa.

Particular attention will be paid to post-graduate qualifications that address rare skills required in the arts sector in support of the following funding programmes, namely, Social Cohesion and Nation Building, Innovation, Design and Creation, Arts Platforms, Strategic Initiatives and Capacity Building. The grant will be renewable for the duration of the course, subject to successful completion of each year of study with adherence to the conditions of the grant.

Grant

  • The grant will not exceed R 250,000 and is subject to Council approval.

Eligibility

  • The invitation extends to individual post-graduate studies for the 2020/2021 academic year.
  • The minimum student’s average marks should not be less than 65%; and the course applied for should not be offered in South Africa.
  • All applicants must be South Africa citizens and over eighteen years of age. Organisations and individuals can only be funded once per financial year.
