10 World Food Program Female Internship Positions for Young Nigerians currently open – September 2, 2021

The World Food Program in Nigeria is looking for qualified females who will fill some vacant positions. The purpose of the female internship program is to build WFP employer brand as an employer of choice among university students, bolster female staff representation and build the national talent pipeline for WFP’s future requirements.

The program is also expected to promote a better understanding of the United Nations among the participants through experience in the World Food Program and improve youth employability though providing an opportunity for work experience to female fresh graduates, and university students.

Below are 10 available positions:

1. Data Analyst Intern – Abuja

They are seeking to fill the position of a Statistician Intern based in Abuja. Under the direct supervision and technical guidance of the Vulnerability Analysis and Mapping Officer in the Research, Assessment, and Monitoring (RAM) Unit, the intern will assist the unit with the following varying tasks.

2. Gender Program Intern – Abuja

The intern will participate and support in the implementation of the country office gender transformation program activities and events including al meetings, forums, as needed, to support proper documentation.

3. Partnerships & OIM Intern – Maiduguri

The intern will be required to carry out well-defined activities and straight forward analytical work, working closely with a more experienced professional staff member receiving guidance and regular feedback on work performed.

4. Human Resources Intern – Maiduguri

The intern will assist in basic desk support to customers under close supervision of the HR Associate.

5. Nutrition Intern – Maiduguri

The intern will support WFP Maiduguri Area Office Nutrition Unit with the implementation activities of the nutrition interventions which include periodic field visits for program monitoring of all WFP nutrition activities.

6. ICT Intern – Maiduguri

The intern will assist with basic Help desk support in providing first level support for customers under close supervision of IT Associate.

7. ICT Intern – Abuja

The intern will assist in the documentation of business processes by use of flowcharts and use cases.

8. Administration Intern – Damaturu

The intern will support guest check in and check out with requisite documentation to and from WFP guest house and assist in ensuring housekeeping are carried out promptly with proper adherence to COVID 19 protocol.

9. Supply Chain Intern – Damaturu

The intern will support in the administration of wholesalers/retailers contracts (maintain a contracts tracking database) and monitor/track retailers performances in coordination with other SC – CBT staff and partners based on well-established key performance indicators.

The intern will perform routine review and archiving of program reports and ensure training venues, required materials, attendance sheets etc. are organized in good time.
