Applications are open for the Pierre Castel Prize 2024. The Pierre Castel Prize is a commitment from founders Pierre CASTEL and Pierre De Gaétan NJIKAM to supporting the growth of African entrepreneurial youth.
Established in 2018, the Prize supports initiatives led by young entrepreneurs in the fields of agriculture and agri-food, pillars of development of the African economy. In each edition, the supported companies are selected for their resilience, their ability to preserve and develop resources, to promote the empowerment of young people and women and to contribute to the development of food systems, by improving agricultural production and practices.
Through these support and accompaniment actions, the Fund wishes to promote solidarity, trust and a sense of initiative.
Awards
- 1st winners: €15,000, sponsorship and a coaching program
- 2nd winners: €10,000, a coaching program
- Finalists : Access to certified entrepreneurial e-learning training with the Geneva International Trade Center (ITC) and participation in the Young Hopes Prize – For sustainable agriculture and food
Eligibility
- You are an agricultural entrepreneur;
- You are between 18 and 45 years old;
- You have the nationality of one of the countries concerned by this edition and you reside there. The countries are Algeria, Burkina Faso, Cameroon, Congo DR, Ivory Coast and Madagascar;
- Your business exists legally and has been in operation for at least one year;
- You have a development project including a measurable social, economic and environmental impact on your ecosystem.

- Application form*
- Presentation file*
- Resume
- Copy of your identity document (passport recommended)
- Accounting balance sheet or operating account for the 2023 financial year
- Official document certifying the legal existence of your business
