Atlantic Council Young Global Professionals Program 2024 at the Adrienne Arsht Latin America Center (Funded)

Applications are currently open for the Atlantic Council Young Global Professionals Program 2024 at the Adrienne Arsht Latin America Center. Young Global Professionals joining the Adrienne Arsht Latin America Center (AALAC) will work with regional experts to broaden understanding of regional transformations and deliver constructive, results-oriented solutions to inform how the public and private sectors can advance prosperity in the Western Hemisphere.

AALAC interns will support a wide range of the thematic and country-specific portfolios, gaining valuable experience in Latin American and Caribbean economic and political issues.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct research to support the activities of the program/center as needed.
  • Help draft policy briefs, blog posts, memos, articles, and other publications.
  • Provide support for the logistical and operational functions of the program/center, particularly surrounding events and activities.
  • Support the program/center development as needed.
  • Produce readouts and summaries at meetings, roundtables, and strategy sessions for internal program archives.
  • Conduct media outreach to promote the program/center’s events, publications, and writings.
  • Support the program/center in creating and updating content on its website using WordPress.

Benefits

  • This role is based at their Washington, DC headquarters on a hybrid schedule at a rate of $17.50 per hour.

Eligibility

  • Recent graduate, graduate student, or undergraduate senior in good standing, preferably majoring in International Relations or any relevant field.
  • GPA of 3.0 (out of 4.0) scale, or equivalent from a non-U.S. institution preferred.
  • Proven interest in the core mission of the Atlantic Council and the Adrienne Arsht Latin America Center.
  • Genuine interest in and existing knowledge of a range of core topics related to the program/centers’ themes and priorities.
  • Fluent in Spanish and/or Portuguese. Also possesses excellent writing and editing skills in English, and Spanish or Portuguese.
  • Experience with social media campaigns, website maintenance, and email marketing.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and others.
  • Available to work full-time (40 hours per week).
  • Applicants must be authorized to work in the US.
