Applications are open for the Women in Development Summit 2024. The Women in Development (WID) Summit is a strategic networking and mentorship convening for women working in the development sector, non-profits, social enterprises, civil society organizations, international development agencies, advocacy groups or CSR divisions of corporate institutions and multinationals. The Ideation Hub is carefully curating a transformational experience and rallying point for Nigerian and African women who are actively working for a better continent.

This event will convene as a no-holds-barred, conversational, and inspiring Summit that connects influential voices, leaders and mentors in non-profit leadership, impact investing, global development, sustainability and socially responsible business with female social innovators, Executive Directors, and emerging practitioners  in the space.

This transformative summit and 3rd Edition is dedicated to spotlighting the visionary efforts of women driving transformative change across sectors and continents. From pioneering innovative solutions to advocating for inclusive policies, these visionaries exemplify the resilience, creativity, and leadership needed to address today’s most pressing global challenges.

This summit reflects a resurging commitment to showcasing the remarkable contributions of women in driving positive change across Africa and globally. They believe that by amplifying their voices and sharing their stories, they can inspire and empower others to join the movement towards a more equitable and sustainable future.

This one-day Summit will be filled with keynote addresses, high-impact expert panel discussions, workshops, policy roundtable, spoken word and networking opportunities aimed at fostering collaboration, knowledge-sharing, and collective action. Attendees can expect to engage with influential leaders, experts, and advocates from diverse fields including development, social entrepreneurship, environmental sustainability, gender equity, and more.

  • Non-profit Female leaders (Women in NGOs & CSOs);
  • Female social entrepreneurs;
  • Professional Women in Development;
  • Executive directors;
  • Emerging development practitioners leaders and changemakers;
  • Impact-drivern entrepreneurs and social innovators;
  • Anyone passionate about women empowerment and sustainable development.

Application

The Women in Development (WID) Summit themed “Visionaries of Impact: Women Redefining Global Development” is set to take place in Lagos, Nigeria as an Hybrid Event (Virtual + In person Attendance) on July 20, 2024.
