1. Immunization Program Lead (AfCDC)

To provide strategic leadership and technical oversight in strengthening primary health care systems for immunization service delivery across the life course addressing the zero-dose agenda, increasing domestic financing of immunization and building public trust in vaccines across African Union Member States. The post will provide technical, policy and strategic guidance and contribute to oversight, coordination, and monitoring of Africa CDC’s immunization program.

This is not recruitment for employment but volunteer service for Africa CDC. The potential AVoHC Volunteers candidates are those who have experience in Public Health Management, social and behavioural science, epidemiology, communication, Infection Prevention and Control, laboratory, mental health, etc., from Africa Union Member States.

The role will entail working collaboratively with internal teams, member states, and regional economic communities to promote and facilitate the effective execution of policies and initiatives aimed at enhancing sexual and reproductive health (SRH) across the continent.

Under the supervision of Director of Social Development – Human Capital and Institutional Development, Programme Coordinator, A2DSRH PMU will establish and implement the AUDA-NEPAD Africa Demographic Dividend and Sexual Reproductive Health Program (A2DSRH) which will support AU member states through policy reforms aimed at harnessing the demographic dividend, advancing sexual and reproductive health and rights (SRHR), and Universal Primary Healthcare (UHC), in order to achieve their growth and development ambitions.
