Applications are open for the Nigeria Institution of Professional Engineers and Scientists Scholarship 2025 for aspiring engineers and scientists. NIPES is committed to fostering talent and promoting inclusivity in the fields of engineering and science globally.
The National Institute of Professional Engineers and Scientists (NIPES) is a prestigious research organization that unites esteemed experts from the fields of engineering and science. Originally established as The Nigerian Institution of Professional Engineers and Scientists on June 20, 2019, the organization was incorporated under the Companies and Allied Matters Act (CAMA), Cap. C20, Laws of the Federation of Nigeria, on November 13, 2021. Building on this foundation, NIPES expanded its international presence by incorporating under the Commonwealth of Massachusetts Corporate Division, United States of America, on December 13, 2024, marking a significant milestone in its global development.
Scholarship
- The total amount for the scholarship is ₦1,000,000. Five scholarships will be awarded with each recipient receiving ₦200,000.
Eligibility
- Applicant must be currently enrolled in an accredited higher institution.
- Studying science or engineering-related courses.
- Open to students in 100-level and above.
- Mandatory: Applicants must complete at least one free NIPES online course and explain the skills learned in their personal statement.
Selection Criteria
Candidates will be evaluated based on:
- NIPES student membership status.
- Quality and content of the personal statement.
- Demonstrated passion for engineering/science.
- Completion of a NIPES course and explanation of learned skills.
- Alignment with NIPES values and mission.
Application
The application process is in 3 stages as follows:
- Register on the NIPES website as a student member (for non-members) here.
- Complete a free NIPES online course of your choice here.
- Submit your personal statement (500-750 words), explaining the skills you learned from the course and how they apply to your academic or career goals here. NB. Provide proof of enrollment and student ID and Include your NIPES membership number (if applicable).
