3. Turn Your Story into $1,000 and a Documentary with Prototipe Media

Have you been working on a story that you think deserves to be adapted into a documentary or docu-series? Get your idea out of your notebook and onto the big screen with Prototipe. They will hold your hand every step of the way, from development to production. 4. Al Safety Fund (AISF) Grants 2025 (up to $500,000)

The Al Safety Fund (AISF) awards grants to accelerate research efforts that identify potential safety threats that arise from the development and use of frontier Al models. As Al is increasingly applied across domains, they are looking to develop strategies to avoid negative outcomes through funding research to identify and assess risks and improve the safe deployment of Al for the benefit of society.

5.  Black Opportunity Fund – Justice Grant 2025.

This grant aims to support Black-led, Black-serving organizations working to address systemic injustices and promote equity within Black communities across Canada.

6. Youth Mental Health Fund Call for Proposals 2024 (Up to $50,000)

 The Youth Mental Health Fund (YMHF), announced by the federal government in Budget 2024, aims to improve the mental health of youth and their families, and to enhance access to, and navigation of, mental health services with a particular focus on equity-deserving groups.

7. Call for Proposals: Academy for Women Entrepreneurs Canada 2025 (up to $35,000)

The U.S. Embassy Ottawa announces an open competition for organizations to submit applications to implement the 2025 Academy for Women Entrepreneurs (AWE) in Montreal, Canada. AWE is a U.S. Department of State-led initiative established in 2019 to provide women with the professional skills, knowledge, networks, and access to launch or scale successful businesses. Cohorts of approximately 30 women meet online and in-person to learn core business skills such as strategic planning, marketing, and finance, then discuss the material with local facilitators, business leaders, and U.S. exchange alumni mentors.

8. Comics Advocacy Group (CAG) Mini Grant 2025 ($500 grant)

The CAG Mini Grant provides small, unrestricted funding to comic creators who are in need of additional resources. As the cost of food and rent are growing prohibitive, many creators find themselves taking on additional work with time they do not have in order to make ends meet. Their goal in offering this $500 mutual aid grant is to give cartoonists some time and space to work on the projects most important to  them.

9. Global Fund for Women is hiring a Grant Writer

The Grant Writer will support the Institutional Partnerships team’s work to sustain and increase foundation and corporate giving revenue by preparing grant proposals, letters of inquiry, grant reports, and other fundraising materials.

10. NSERC College and Community Social Innovation Fund Grants 2025 (up to $120,000)

CCSIF grants are intended to foster community innovation by connecting the talent, facilities and capabilities of Canada’s colleges and polytechnics with the research needs of community organizations. CCSIF proposals should facilitate collaborative and innovative research that brings together researchers, students and partners to address challenges in community innovation in the social sciences, humanities, health sciences, natural sciences and engineering research fields.

11. Alberta Anti-Racism Grant Program 2025 (up to $10,000)

Alberta’s Anti-Racism Grant Program is intended to support community organizations in Alberta to implement initiatives that combat discrimination and address systemic racism by providing funding for projects that increase public education and enable Albertans to recognize and value cultural differences and heritage.

11. Connaught Major Research Challenge for Black Researchers 2025 (up to $250,000)

The Connaught Major Research Challenge for Black Researchers is coordinated in collaboration with the Connaught Fund and the Black Research Network to provide support to Black researchers addressing and developing solutions to major research challenges.

The Canadian Consumer ProtectionInitiative was established by Innovation, Science and  Economic Development Canada’s Office of Consumer Affairs to support the consumer advocacy work of Canadian non profit organizations.

13. Northwestern University Racial Equity & Community Partnership Grants Program 2025 (up to $75,000)

The Racial Equity & Community Partnership Grants program is led by the Office of Neighborhood and Community Relations. A committee of University administrators and academics, along with community representatives, serves as advisors to the program. Beginning in 2020, Northwestern committed more than $500,000 annually to advance racial equity in their home communities of Evanston and Chicago.
