Applications are open for the Eisenhower Global Scholars Program 2025-2026. The Eisenhower Global Scholars Program sends four American university graduates abroad annually for an academic year of postgraduate studies at two prestigious European universities, the University of Oxford and IE University in Madrid, Spain, leading to a master’s degree and immersion in the EF global network of Fellows.
Eisenhower Global Scholars, typically 20 to 30 years old, will spend a full academic year of intensive postgraduate study and hands-on work experience, leading to the following degrees:
- Master in Public Policy from the Blavatnik School of Government at the University of Oxford in England, for students focused on public service and effective governance.
- Master in International Relations from the School of Global Public Affairs at IE University in Spain, for students focused on the global economy, innovation and entrepreneurship.
Benefits
- In the fall, Global Scholars travel to Europe for the start of their academic year. At some point in the year, they meet with Eisenhower Fellows and other friends of EF in Europe.
Eligibility
- Applicants for the Global Scholarship Program are students admitted to Oxford and IE and should have an exceptional academic record with an impressive upward trajectory that ranks them near the top of their peers.
- Applicants must be U.S. citizens or legal permanent residents and have graduated from a four-year American university with a 3.7 Grade Point Average (out of 4.0) preferred.
- Candidates should demonstrate a track record of leadership and achievement and a commitment to tackling real world challenges though a concrete project idea.
- The preferred age range is 20 years to 30 years.
- In addition to academic ability and achievement, applicants must demonstrate a high level of commitment to public service, as evidenced by their chosen career path in the public, private or non-profit fields and/or an outstanding record of community service.
