Deadline: February 14, 2025

Are you looking for a rewarding opportunity to support the work and mission of the World Bank Group? Are you currently enrolled in a full-time graduate or PhD program? If so, apply for the World Bank Group Internship Program 2025.

As an intern, you will work at the forefront of development and share fresh ideas, new perspectives, and broad research experience. You will collaborate with project teams to advance our vision to create a world free of poverty on a livable planet. Moreover, you will enrich your skills, build your professional network, and invest in your career development journey.

They seek candidates with interests in operations and support functions. Internship opportunities depend on business needs and typically include those studying economics, finance, human development (public health, education, nutrition and population), social sciences (anthropology, sociology), agriculture, environment, engineering, urban planning, natural resources management, private sector development, and corporate support (accounting, communications, human resources, information technology, and finance).

Benefits

  • In addition to tremendous professional development opportunities, you will receive an hourly salary. The WB pays an hourly salary to all Interns and, where applicable, provides an allowance toward travel expenses up to USD $3,000 at the discretion of the manager. These travel expenses can only include transport expenses (airfare) to or from the duty station city. Interns are responsible for their own accommodations. Driven by business needs, most Intern positions are based in Washington, DC with some in the WB country offices.

Eligibility

  • To be eligible for the Bank Internship Program, you must:
    • Have an undergraduate degree;
    • Be enrolled in a full-time graduate study program;
    • Be fluent in English.
  • Knowledge of additional languages, including French, Spanish, Russian, Arabic, Portuguese, and Chinese, is desirable. Strong computing and other technical skills will also strengthen your application.
  • They value diversity and encourage all qualified individuals with diverse professional and academic backgrounds to apply. They aim to attract the best talent in the world.

Application

Applications will be accepted online until February 14, 2025. You will be asked to upload your Curriculum Vitae, Statement of Interest, and Proof of Enrollment in a graduate program. Once you submit your application, you will not be able to make changes or updates. You will receive an email confirmation with your application number.
