Applications are open for the Renewables Accelerators for Innovative Startups and Entrepreneurs in Africa (RAISEAfrica) 2025. This unique initiative aims to foster innovation in the renewable energy sector, offering young African entrepreneurs a platform to scale up their businesses and bring forward groundbreaking solutions for the continent’s energy transition.
With the support of renowned partners such as Enel Green Power, European Investment Bank, EDP, EY Foundation, CSIR, and SAICA ED, RAISEAfrica is set to continue its mission to drive impactful change by providing entrepreneurs with the resources they need to succeed. The program offers both pre-acceleration and acceleration tracks designed to cater to entrepreneurs at different stages of their journey.
Benefits
- Participants will receive an entry token of €3,000, with the chance to compete for the “Young Talent of the Year” award, offering a cash prize between €5,000 and €10,000. This is designed to support the most promising and high-potential startups.
- The pre-accelerator supports early-stage entrepreneurs in developing their business ideas, while the accelerator focuses on scaling established ventures, refining business models, and expanding market reach.
- Participants will gain access to mentoring, coaching, networking, visibility, and fundraising opportunities. They will also be able to showcase their ideas at key events, engage with investors, and connect with other industry leaders.
Eligibility
- Entrepreneurs aged 18-35 from across Africa with innovative solutions addressing the renewable energy sector are invited to apply.
- Solutions can range from early-stage concepts to established projects looking to scale.

The application process is now open, and interested entrepreneurs can apply directly through the application form. All applications must be submitted by March 14, 2025 – 11.59 PM Central European Time.
