WINGS is hiring a Latin America and the Caribbean Coordinator. In line with their strategic priorities outlined in the WINGS 2023-2027 Strategic Plan, and especially Strategic Priority 1 (Nurturing network(s) and strengthening ecosystems), the Latin America and the Caribbean Coordinator will help WINGS nurture their vibrant and growing network in the region.

The Coordinator will ensure proximity to the members in the region and support them in engaging in WINGS’ activities. In partnership with members, this role will also raise the profile of philanthropy and practitioners from Latin America and the Caribbean globally, strengthen understanding of philanthropy support ecosystems, trends, needs, and challenges, and promote greater exchanges across the region and across the global philanthropic landscape.

The role of the Latin America and the Caribbean Coordinator encompasses three key objectives:

The Coordinator will catalyse relationships between members, organise online and in-person events, and devise strategies for innovation and growth.
    • Work closely with other regional and global working groups to ensure cross-regional exchanges, learning, and coordination.
    • Work with the Collective Intelligence and Advocacy Team to ensure relevance and contributions for and of members from the region to our collective global effort.
    • Work closely with other WINGS colleagues to support efforts on topics related to policy advocacy, climate action, localisation, SDGs, and philanthropy transformation, among others.
  • Strengthening ecosystems: To help philanthropic action thrive and contribute to a global transformation agenda for the sector, WINGS works to strengthen the philanthropy support ecosystem. The Coordinator will pursue efforts to strengthen, connect and support local subregional and regional philanthropy infrastructure in close collaboration and complementarity with existing members by:
    • Devising and implementing detailed project plans to track progress and implement all the activities related to the regional work in Latin America and the Caribbean.
    • Planning and coordinating the implementation of philanthropy support ecosystem mappings (regional, national, and/or with a thematic focus).
    • Identifying specific capacity-building needs in the sector and ways to increase collaboration and sustainability.
    • Co-convening players and leveraging WINGS’ position as a global network.
  • Contributing to advancing the overall mission of WINGS: The Coordinator will support WINGS in its overarching work around capacity building, knowledge production for philanthropy networks and support organisations, communications and resource acquisition including, in particular, leading the fundraising for the regional work.
