Deadline: June 2, 2025

Applications are open for the UpTide Accelerator 2025 for Non-profits in the U.S.. UpTide is a transformative accelerator launched by 92nd Street Y’s Belfer Center for Innovation & Social Impact. It is designed for nonprofit leaders addressing the Crisis of Community — the rising tide of disconnection, disaffiliation, and civic disengagement in American life.

If you’re building community in the face of disconnection, UpTide is your opportunity to scale your work nationally with the support, tools, and network you need. UpTide draws on the expertise of 92NY, the Belfer Center, SEED SPOT, and our deep network of collaborators to help nonprofits from across the US reach new levels of impact.

Benefits

  • $5,000 unrestricted grant upon completing all elements of the UpTide accelerator
  • Week in New York City with programming, time for partner meetings, and Showcase Day (flights, hotel, and most meals will be paid for by UpTide)
  • Opportunity for additional grant funding by participating in Showcase Day, a chance to present your organization to potential funders on 92NY’s world-class stage
  • Expert guidance to craft a standout pitch deck and presentation for Showcase Day
  • Customized 3-year strategic plan to scale your organization’s impact
  • Board engagement session for two members of your organization’s board with 92NY’s seasoned board members
  • Tailored workshops to address the unique challenges and opportunities of community-building organizations
  • 1:1 mentorship and coaching with seasoned experts to help navigate organizational growth with confidence
  • A powerful sustained network—facilitated and supported by 92NY—of cohort peers, mentors, coaches, and industry leaders
  • Ongoing access to an alumni network and resources provided by SEED SPOT

Eligibility

  • UpTide participants must be 18 years of age or older and be in a full-time role as the Executive Director / President / CEO of a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization based in the U.S.
  • Must be a U.S.-based nonprofit organization with 501(c)(3) tax-exempt status in good standing.
  • UpTide is dedicated to combating the “Crisis of Community”— the growing disconnection and disaffiliation at the root of many societal challenges. Your organization should address the Crisis of Community through your mission and programming.
  • Your organization directly serves at least 500 people or a meaningful proportion of your community.  You must have implemented at least one proven intervention with at least one year of positive impact data that demonstrates that you are achieving the desired outcome.
  • You have a replicable model that is making a meaningful impact on the community it serves and is ready to scale.

Application

  • Step 1: Complete the application by June 2, 2025.
  • Step 2:  If you are selected as a finalist to move on to round 2, you will be invited by June 13, 2025 to a virtual interview. Interviews will take place June 16-27, 2025.  Applicants from this round will be notified by July 3, 2025 if they have been selected for the UpTide cohort.
