Applications are open for the RMI Global Women in Clean Energy Fellowship 2025. Launched by RMI’s Energy Transition Academy (ETA), the fellowship supports women leaders in the Global South to grow their technical, leadership, and strategic capacities in clean energy. The inaugural cohort—delivered in partnership with local and global actors, including AMP—will kick off in June 2025.
The fellowship offers:
- Technical Training on distributed energy resources and local business models
- Project Management skills, including risk mitigation, procurement, and finance
- Group Mentorship with women energy leaders from across sectors
- Peer Networking with other passionate women across the region
- Capstone Project to develop a clean energy policy, initiative, or strategy in your country
Leadership Accelerator
Select fellows will be invited to a 3-day in-person leadership workshop in November 2025. This advanced training will focus on hands-on leadership skills for women leading clean energy projects or shaping policy. A separate selection process will occur during the fellowship.
Eligibility
They are looking for early to mid-career women who:
- Are currently working on clean energy projects or policies in Nigeria, Ethiopia, or Zambia;
- Are passionate about leadership, innovation, and social impact in the energy space;
- Want to grow their network and drive meaningful change in their communities.
