Applications are open for the Heirs Insurance Essay Championship 2025. The Heirs Insurance Essay Championship is an annual essay competition open to secondary school students between JSS1 – JSS3 across Nigeria, with the aim of showcasing the creativity and talent of children.

They invite students to write on the essay topic: The Role of Insurance in Keeping Families Safe and Secure.

Benefits

  • Winner: N5,000,000 Scholarship.
  • 1st Runner Up: N2,000,000 Scholarship.
  • 2nd Runner Up: N1,000,000 Scholarship.
  • Winner’s School: N1,000,000 Grant.

Eligibility

  • Open to secondary school students in Nigeria;
  • Applicants should be in JSS1 – JSS3.

Adhere strictly to the participation guidelines below, non-compliance will result in disqualification.

  • Essays should be typed and not handwritten.
  • Word count: Not more than 500 words.
  • Students must write their name, school and class on the essay document.
  • Document Format: Word document only.
  • Students must save their essay document with their full name.

Application

NOTE: Participants must upload their passport photograph and any form of ID when submitting their application form. Application closes on July 8, 2025. Early Submission is advised.
