Applications are open for the RFI – AUF Prize for Young Writing 2025. Organized by the Agence Universitaire de la Francophonie (AUF), Radio France Internationale (RFI) and Short Édition, the RFI-AUF Prize for Young Writings aims to encourage writing and reading in French. For its 7th edition, the jury of this literary competition will be chaired by the multi-award-winning Franco-British author and director, Alexis Michalik.
To participate in this edition, the fiction story must be a maximum of 8,000 characters (including spaces) and must begin with: “I can’t tell where I come from. I have forgotten everything”, an incipit taken from Alexis Michalik’s play, Passport, published by Albin Michel.
Prizes
Two prizes will be awarded:
- The public prize, an endowment worth €250.
- It will be awarded to the story that has received the most votes from Internet users among a selection of the best works.
- The jury prize, one or more training courses offered by IFIC with a total value of €2,000.
- It will crown the work elected by a jury of professionals with a particular attachment to the Francophonie.
Eligibility
- Open to French-speaking people from all over the world aged 18 to 29.
- They must be enrolled in one of the AUF’s member institutions or at the École de Management de la Francophonie (ESFAM).
