Applications for the South African Reserve Bank Art Scholarship 2026 are now open. The South African Reserve Bank is offering an annual Full Art Scholarship to a qualifying Fine Arts student for the 2026 academic year.
The Bank leads in serving the economic well-being of South Africans through maintaining price and financial stability. The primary mandate of the South African Reserve Bank is to protect the value of the currency in the interest of balanced and sustainable economic growth.
Scholarship
- The South African Reserve Bank provides a fully-funded scholarship to an Art student in South Africa.
Eligibility
- Applicant must be a South African citizen.
- Must be younger than 35 years old.
- Must have achieved an average pass mark of 65% in your current year of study.
- Must be in financial need (unable to afford to attend university without a scholarship).
If you will be registered for one of the following qualifications in the 2026 academic year, you could qualify for the scholarship:
- Final year of a four-year undergraduate degree in Fine Arts.
- Honours degree in Fine Arts (following a three-year undergraduate degree in Fine Arts).
- Master’s degree in Fine Arts.
- One-year Advanced Diploma in Fine Arts (following a three-year undergraduate diploma in Fine Arts).

Submit the following documents in PDF format:
- Completed application form
- Images of 6 to 8 artworks produced in 2024 and 2025
- Academic transcripts for 2024 and 2025
- Copy of identity document
