Applications are open for the Women in Ag Award 2025. The role of women in agriculture, in the agribusiness and in the agricultural sciences is changing worldwide. The Women in Ag Awards pay tribute to this commitment and tell the stories behind these inspiring women.
For the fourth time, Deutsche Landwirtschafts-Gesellschaft (DLG) is organizing this competition together with the “Women in Ag magazine”, which gives women from all over the world the opportunity to tell their stories and present their impressive achievements. In recent years, women from more than 40 nations have applied, and they all have one thing in common: they are heard and build a strong network that supports and connects them.
Categories
The “Women in Ag Award” is presented in four categories to the top three winners in each.
- Farming: This category honors women who actively shape agriculture and make it fit for the future with sustainable farming methods, modern farm management or innovative concepts.
- Agribusiness: Women who modernize agriculture and make value chains more efficient with entrepreneurial spirit, digital solutions or new business models are honored in this category.
- Education: In this category, women are recognized who impart knowledge as teachers, consultants or communicators, make agriculture more understandable and inspire the next generation.
- Technology and Research: Women who create new solutions with research and technological developments and change agriculture sustainably with innovative findings are honored.
Eligibility
- Open to women from all over the world who work in agriculture, agribusiness, animal farming, research and development, teaching, journalism or as bloggers and influencers.
- Applicant’s profile should match one of the categories.
Application
Only complete applications shall be taken into consideration:
- Online form
- A portrait photo
- At least two high-resolution photos of her agriculture activities
- A video about herself and her contribution to the agricultural sector (max. 2 min)
Both the application and video should be in English. The video can be recorded in your native language and provided with English subtitles.
