Onuoha Fellowship 2025 for College Freshmen & Sophomores ($1,000 Scholarship)

Deadline: August 1, 2025

Applications are open for the Onuoha Fellowship 2025. They are $10,000 in scholarships to 10 of the most ambitious, incoming freshmen & sophomores who are passionate about entrepreneurship. The Onuoha Fellowship was founded five years ago because entrepreneurship felt impossible to navigate alone. The essence of creating something new means there’s no defined playbook to follow, and traditional higher education rarely teaches you how to go from zero to one.

Since 2020, the approach has transformed completely. Rather than doing a classroom type approach, the fellows learn fluency in AI tools like Cursor, Replit, Lovable, and are expected to build products, test them in the world, and get feedback. In the last cohort, two of their fellows from MIT went off and started a company together.

Benefits

  • Perks of the program: $1,000 Scholarship – Direct financial support to fuel your entrepreneurial journey.
  • Hands-On Mentorship & Training – Learn how to do a startup. They cover everything from fundraising, networking, getting your first customers, building a product, and the AI tools that make this 100x easier.
  • Access to an Elite Alumni Network – Past fellows have gone on to incredible opportunities at Y Combinator, Google, Amazon, Uber, Microsoft, and top-tier institutions like MIT, Harvard, and Stanford.

Eligibility

  • Open to incoming college freshmen & sophomores who exhibit academic excellence, leadership capabilities, and a passion for bringing world-changing entrepreneurial ideas to life.
  • They value candidates that come from diverse backgrounds & experiences.

Application

They will be accepting applications until August 1, 2025 at 11:59PM.
