Associated Press (AP) invites applications for it’s 12-week paid, individually tailored Global News Internship Program for summer 2013. The internship program offers full-time students and recent college graduates the opportunity to train across media platforms and learn from skilled journalists and editors dedicated to the highest standards.
AP will select as many as 20 interns who are aspiring cross-format journalists. They will work in an AP newsroom with a designated trainer, contributing to AP’s text, video, photo and interactive reports. Interns will cover breaking news and complete a final enterprise project working across multiple formats. Their stories may be featured in media outlets around the world.
Eligibility
The internship is open to U.S. and international students as well as recent graduates. Applicants must be:
- current full-time students within two years of earning an undergraduate degree (juniors and seniors) or
- current full-time graduate students or
- students who will graduate December 2012 or later
Internship Locations
U.S. internships are available in Atlanta, Chicago, Dallas, Los Angeles, New York, Philadelphia, San Francisco and Washington, D.C. International locations are Jerusalem, Johannesburg, London, Mexico City, Moscow, New Delhi, Rome, Sao Paulo, Seoul and Tokyo.
