Deadline: May 26, 2013
The United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) through its GreenUp! initiative has launched the Leftover Rcipe Competition. Global citizens are invited to show their love for leftovers, and submit a recipe that they use to clean out the fridge and win!
Do you have any leftovers in your fridge? Dig them out, submit a recipe and win!
About Love your leftovers
‘Love your leftovers’ is the call for a new online competition as part of the buildup to World Environment Day. It aims at making a meaningful contribution to UNEP’s new global campaign called ‘Think.Eat.Save – Reduce Your Foodprint’ to reduce food waste and food losses around the world.
The Love Your Leftovers competition runs from today until 26 May, with the overall winning recipe and contributor announced on World Environment Day on 5 June 2013 — with a top mystery first prize up for grabs, and 20 exclusive Vivienne Westwood GreenUp t-shirts going to runners-up.
How to Enter
Facebook users can submit their entries directly onto the GreenUp Facebook Page, ideally with photos of their creations. So dig out those soggy vegetables from the bottom of the fridge, empty your tupperware boxes, and start thinking of your most luscious leftover creations.
