Fully Funded Scholarships for Migration Management Diploma Programme-Netherlands

The Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs invites government and civil servants to submit applications for its Migration Management Diploma Programme (MMDP). MMDP is a three-month course designed for practitioners and civil servants working in the field of migration and/or asylum.These programme  includes courses in (1) Migration management and protection (2) Migration and development (3) Migration Policy.

Course Objectives

The course has three overarching objectives:

  1.  To build capacity in migration management in developing countries;
  2.  To inform participants about the foreign asylum and migration policy of the European Union, as well as the international priorities of the Netherlands with regard to asylum and migration;
  3.  To provide a platform for networking between migration civil servants from developing countries, the Dutch Government, European Commission and international governmental and non-governmental organizations.

Eligibility

Applicants must

  • be government officials, with a minimum of three years’ work experience
  •  be a citizen of one of the following developing countries: Afghanistan, Algeria, Angola, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Burundi, Burkina Faso, Cape Verde, Cote d’Ivoire, China, D.R.Congo, Eritrea, Ethiopia, Georgia, Ghana, Guinea-Conakry, India, Iran, Iraq, Jordan, Kyrgyzstan, Lebanon, Libya, Moldova, Mongolia, Morocco, Nepal, Nigeria, Occupied Palestinian Territories, Pakistan, Rwanda, Sierra Leone, Somalia, South Sudan, Sri Lanka, Syria, Togo, Tunisia, Turkey, Uganda and Yemen
  • obtain support from their employers, in the form of a letter stating that they will still be employed and paid for the duration of the programme

Scholarship worth

  • a monthly sum to pay housing and living costs for a maximum of three months;
  • an economy class return ticket and visa costs;
  •  excursions;
  • a tuition fee waiver

Register for MMDP and apply for the scholarship here
Submit the following Documents :

  • a recent CV explicitly outlining work experience in the field of asylum and migration;
  • a passport copy and a passport-size picture;
  • a proof of proficiency in English (IELTS / TOEFL);
  •  two reference letters, from current or former employers and/or professors;
  •  copies of degree(s) and lists of grades;
  •  a motivation letter which explains why the applicant chose this programme and which convinces the Board of Admissions that he or she will complete the programme successfully

Note: If you’re interested in this programme but not eligible for the scholarship, you will have to pay the The tuition fee of €3000 and fund all expenses for the excursion trips
