The Star Golden Hearts award celebrates Malaysians from all walks of life – individuals or groups – who acted heroically and/or selflessly, building bridges between different communities, and in doing so promoting racial harmony and unity. For this year’s nominations, one-off ‘heroic acts’ or initiatives must have been carried out in 2016. Long-term initiatives must be on-going, or carried out until 2016.
This year’s Star Golden Hearts Award is supported by Gamuda. A Star-Gamuda Inspiration Award: Towards a Moderate Malaysia winner will also be chosen from the pool of 10 recipients of the Star Golden Hearts Award 2016. This winner must fit the criteria of altruism and moderation.

Eligibility
- Nominees must be Malysians.
Application Process
- Email your nomination to [email protected] and title your email, “Star Golden Hearts award nomination”.
- Please include your contact information (telephone, email address, postal address), the nominees’ names and details of what they have done, as well as URL links to previous media reports and the nominees’ contact information if possible.
- Acknowledgement of the receipt of each nomination will not be possible.
The winners will be announced in December 2016.
