Deadline: November 30, 2017 and February 1, 2018.

Applications are open for the Rockefeller Foundation Bellagio Center Conference Program. Bellagio conferences establish new connections across disciplines and geographies, encourage dynamic, small group interactions, and promote innovative and creative thinking—all in a serene setting conducive to focused, goal-oriented work.

Approximately two thirds of the conferences that take place at Bellagio are organized by external institutions. The Center has a strong interest in proposals that align with The Rockefeller Foundation’s efforts to promote the well-being of humanity, particularly through issues that have a direct impact on the lives of poor and vulnerable populations around the world. These issues include but are not limited to health, economic opportunity, urban resilience, as well as food and agriculture.

About the Foundation

The Rockefeller Foundation Bellagio Center, through a combination of conferences and residency programs, supports the work of scholars, artists, thought leaders, policymakers, and practitioners who share in the Foundation’s pioneering mission to “promote the well-being of humanity around the world.”

The Center supports  individuals and organizations who are working to improve the lives of poor or vulnerable people globally.  Convening prominent experts, influencers, and other key stakeholders to advance knowledge, form new partnerships, financial commitments, and initiatives that support these goals, enables the Bellagio Center to advance the mission of the Foundation as a complement to its grantmaking efforts.

Benefits

Conference applications are selected through an open competitive process and successful applications are provided facilities, accommodations, and some travel support at no cost to conference organizers or attendees.

Eligibility

  • Open to leading scholars, artists, thought leaders, policymakers, and practitioners who share in the Foundation’s pioneering mission to promote the well-being of humanity around the world
