Deadline: February 10, 2018

Calling young professionals and students in creative schools! Enter the “Say No! Stop Violence Against Women” Competition to raise awareness on the issue and in which this video competition is one activity. The European Commission invites you to pitch a concept for an awareness raising video to be used on social media.

As part of its NON.NO.NEIN. Say No! Stop Violence against Women campaign, the European Commission in cooperation with Edcom has launched the competition to raise awareness on the issue and in which this video competition is one activity. The campaign is carried out by the European Commission with the aim of raising awareness about the issue of violence against women, drawing attention to the work done by a variety of stakeholders across the EU, and disseminating good practice and connecting stakeholders across borders.

Prize

The winning entry will be awarded a trip to Brussels (flights and subsistence costs included for up to 4 persons).

They will be invited to meet the European Commission team working on gender equality to discuss the project, visit the EU institutions and get a taste of the great cultural scene in the city (details to be confirmed).

The prize cannot be exchanged for a financial compensation.

Eligibility

  • Open to people who by not reacting are enablers of VAW
  • NOTE: They do not wish to target victims – as we are reaching out to them in other ways already. They also do not wish to target perpetrators directly, as they believe that might be a too hard to convince group.

Requirements

What they would like to see in your pitch:

  • A demonstration you have understood the issue of VAW
  • Clear insight on what drives citizen behaviour
  • Your strategic thinking to meet our communication needs
  • A creative concept
  • A script

They believe that point 1-3 should be showcased in a strategy on up to three A4 pages.

The concept and script (point 4-5) should be presented in PPT or word on max 15 pages/slides.

Your pitch must be presented in English. However emphasis is on ideas, not a perfect English.

Application

Submission should be sent to: [email protected].
