Saint-Gobain invites entries for the MultiComfort House Student Contest. Compete with other architecture and engineering students for prizes as big as €1,500, with final rounds held in Dubai! Challenge is to design a sustainable and innovative community center for an urban space in Dubai.

This year the MultiComfort House Student Contest invites you to design a sustainable and innovative community center for an urban space in Dubai! The MULTICOMFORT concept in contemporary architecture planning and building process underlines the importance of the different dimensions of comfort – namely thermal, acoustics, indoor air quality and visual.

In the first round of the MultiComfort House Student Contest 2018, you can either take part online or in the local stage. Win this round and you win cash prizes and a trip to Dubai to battle it out in the Finals!

About Saint-Gobain

Saint-Gobain designs, manufactures and distributes materials and solutions which are key ingredients in the wellbeing of each of us and the future of all. They can be found everywhere in our living places and our daily life: in buildings, transportation, infrastructure and in many industrial applications. Prizes

  • 1st prize – €1,500
  • 2nd prize – €1,000
  • 3rd prize – €750
The Finals will be held in May 2018 and all Finalists from the National Stage and Online Stage will win flights, accommodations and meals to Dubai, where it will be held.
Not only will you stand to win the Grand Prize of €1,500 but you will also get to network with talented experts and peers from all over the world!

Eligibility

  • The contest is open to all students, regardless of their degree focus (architecture, engineering or other disciplines).
  • Students may participate as individuals or in teams of two.

Application

Each participant has to register individually at www.isover-students.com by 1 March 2018 at 17:00 CET.

Each participating individual or team must submit the following documents:

  • A PDF document containing the description of their Design Concept, taking into account the competition requirements in section 2.6 of the rules and guidelines. The Design Concept must be written in English and should be maximum 30 pages.
  • The PDF export of MCH Designer calculation for their project.

National Stage
