We received a success story from Rabiu Mamman who was selected to participate in the Association of Commonwealth University (ACU) Summer School in Hong Kong! The program involved a 9-day intensive grooming on Designing and Creating Sustainable Communities.

I have been a fan of Opportunity Desk for 3 years, browsing and applying for opportunities. Thou I couldn’t make it through several applications but was super-excited when I was selected for the Association of Commonwealth University summer school at the Chinese University of Hong Kong, an opportunity I saw on Opportunity Desk. It was a 9-day intensive grooming program on Designing and Creating Sustainable Communities.
The program was fully funded and I traveled to Hong Kong for the first to join up with about 49 other delegates with amazing talents.I benefited immensely from the diversity of the groups, unrivaled networking opportunities and expert lectures from distinguished guest speakers. Not also forgetting the trips to exotic locales (Mapopo Community Farm, Sai Yun Pun, Tin Shui Wai, The Blue House, The Buddhist Monastery and lots more).
The experience was second to none, it improves my rational thinking and exposed me to opportunities. For the awesome time, I had in Hong Kong, for the networking opportunities and for the many open doors, my infinite thanks to Opportunity Desk for availing me of this opportunity.My advice to people who have been rejected severally to opportunities is to uphold the spirit of perseverance and keep checking Opportunity Desk for opportunities that match their interest, your success story is around the corner.
