Deadline: March 24, 2019

Applications are open for the IAYMH Bursary 2019 to attend the 5th International Conference on Youth Mental Health. The International Association for Youth Mental Health (IAYMH) is committed to the active involvement and participation of young people as part of its charter to change the way the global community think about young people’s mental health.

The 5th International Conference on Youth Mental Health, United for Global Change, will be held in Brisbane, Australia from 26–28 October 2019. As with previous conferences, conference bursaries are provided to assist young people to attend and participate in the conference.

Bursaries

  • International bursaries (Australians are excluded from applying for these bursaries)
    • A conference, accomodation and flights bursary: This bursary covers the conference registration fee, two nights of accommodation near the conference venue, and one return international flight to Australia (up to the value of $1,300 AUD)

Eligibility

Bursaries are open to young people who:

  • Have contact, a connection or relationship with an organisation such as health, youth or an educational institution or similar (not essential). This is not essential, but the IAYMH hope that young people can attend with additional financial or non-financial support from other organisations;
  • Have a willingness to co-chair a session during the conference with another person (you will be provided with additional information on what is required prior to the conference);
  • An interest in engaging in social media throughout the conference;
  • Be a member of the IAYMH – It’s free and easy to join, and you can become a member here.
