Applications are open for the Vernadsky Challenge 2019 for Engineering Startups. The Vernadsky Challenge is an engineering startup contest that calls for the most innovative ideas for hardware in space technologies and active bioelectronics.

7 of 10 Vernadsky Challenge winners have taken part in CES and TechCrunch Disrupt, raised capital on Kickstarter and Indiegogo or received grants and investment from other contests and venture funds after their triumphant debut on our stage. 21 of 34 finalists have reached prototyping or manufacturing stage.

Categories

  • Space technologies: The space race is in it’s sharpest stage and they definitely want better positions in it. That’s where they need your talent. They are thrilled for space-related projects. Rockets, launch mechanics, satellites, space engineering, AI for aerospace and everything related to getting closer to space is what we need. Feel free to share your ideas.
  • Active bioelectronics: At Noosphere they see the purpose of technology in multiplying human abilities. That includes making human body better via technologies. Develop your projects in order to help disabled person to walk again. Сreate a technology for the bodies of people with specific professions.

Prize

  • The most promising solutions are guaranteed to receive the grant funding equivalent to 2M UAH (≈70K USD).

Eligibility

  • Open to teams with the most innovative ideas for hardware in space technologies and active bioelectronics.
