  • Contribute content to the HAWG website and social media presence
  • Maintain a system for tracking U.S. government contacts on Haiti
  • Attend committee hearings, think tank events, and other events related to Haiti advocacy as needed
  • Assist with scheduling advocacy meetings and online events about Haiti

  • Develop greater understanding of advocacy strategies and tactics

Eligibility

  • Ideal applicants will be graduate students who can represent positively and effectively not only the HWC and the HAWG, but Haiti and Haitian people overall.
  • Additionally, they should possess strong research and communication skills, both oral and written.
  • Strong preference for applicants who have particular expertise and interest in Haiti, Caribbean affairs, and U.S. government operations.
  • Due to the nature of advocacy to the U.S. government, English proficiency is required.

Application

To apply, please submit your resume, cover letter and 1 relevant writing sample to Alan Yarborough at [email protected].
