GREAT Scholarships 2023-2024 to Study at the University of Edinburgh (up to £10,000)

Applications are open for the GREAT Scholarships 2023-2024. This year, in partnership with the British Council and the GREAT Britain Campaign, the University of Edinburgh will be offering five scholarships for students, across China, India, Nigeria, Turkey and Vietnam applying for an eligible one-year postgraduate Masters programme for the 2023-2024 academic session.

GREAT Scholarships, launched by the British Council’s Study UK campaign together with a number of other UK universities, supports students from 18 countries to access world-class UK higher education opportunities. The Study UK campaign is offering 150 scholarships from UK universities to students across 18 countries around the world.

The scholarship programme offers financial support of a minimum of £10,000 to students pursuing one year postgraduate study in the UK. Students can apply for courses in a range of subjects, at the 41 institutions across England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland.

Awards

  • Each scholarship will award an amount of £10,000 which will be deducted from your tuition fees and will be tenable for one academic year.

Eligibility

  • At the University of Edinburgh, the Scholarships will be awarded to nationals and residents of China, India, Nigeria,Turkey and Vietnam who are accepted for admission on a full-time basis for an eligible one-year on campus postgraduate Masters programme of study.  
  • The scholarship will be awarded on the basis of academic merit. Candidates must have, or expect to obtain, the overseas equivalent of a UK first-class honours degree.

  • MSc Operational Research with Computational Optimization
  • MSc Operational Research with Data Science
  • MSc Operational Research with Risk
  • MSc Statistics with Data Science
  • MSc Statistics and Operational Research

Applicants from Nigeria

  • MSc Electrical Power Engineering

Applicants from Turkey

  • MSc Banking Innovation and Risk Analytics
  • MSc Climate Change Finance and Investment

Applicants from Vietnam

  • MSc Banking Innovation and Risk Analytics
  • MSc Climate Change Finance and Investment

Application

  • The scholarship deadline for The GREAT China, India and Nigeria is Thursday, 30 March 2023, 23:59 BST.
  • The scholarship deadline for The GREAT Turkey and Vietnam is Monday, 1 May 2023, 23:59 BST.

In order to gain access to the scholarship application system, applicants must have applied for admission to the University of Edinburgh. Note that, following the submission of an application for admission, it can take up to five working days for all system checks to be completed and for access to be granted.

The online scholarship application form is located in EUCLID and can be accessed via MyEd web based information portal.
