The Salzburg Global Seminar is an independent non-profit organization with a mission to challenge current and future leaders to shape a better world. Founded in 1947 as a center for post-war dialogue and reconciliation, for 75 years Salzburg Global Seminar has worked to catalyze new perspectives, ideas, and collaborations that shape more peaceful, equitable and just societies.

They are committed to promoting inclusive and equitable dialogue that recognizes and values the diverse perspectives, experiences, and backgrounds of all individuals. Through their focus on effective communication, they aim to create a welcoming and supportive environment that fosters mutual understanding and respect. They believe that mediation is a key tool for resolving conflicts and building bridges between different perspectives. As they work with leaders from around the world to address complex challenges, they recognize the importance of developing mediation skills among their team.

Scope of Work

  • They are looking for an experienced Public Speaking Coach/Facilitator to lead a public speaking workshop for our team. Areas of particular interest include enhancing confidence in public speaking, harnessing storytelling techniques for impactful narratives, fostering clear and concise communication, and key tips and skills for ongoing development. Through a customized, half-day workshop with the staff, the Coach/Facilitator will engage the team in practical and interactive public speaking training, providing actionable techniques and approaches to help them be the best they can be. The workshop will be relevant to individuals at a variety of experience levels, from early career public speakers to seasoned program directors. The workshop may be offered at the home, Schloss Leopoldskron, Salzburg, Austria or in hybrid form.
  • They are also seeking an experienced Mediation Coach/ Facilitator to lead a workshop for their team. The workshop should cover key concepts and techniques in mediation, including conflict mediation, negotiating around social, cultural, and racial tensions, and navigating complex group dynamics. Through a customized, half-day workshop, the Coach/Facilitator will engage the team in practical and interactive mediation training, providing actionable techniques and approaches to help them be more effective mediators. The workshop will be relevant to individuals at a variety of experience levels, from early career program facilitators to seasoned directors. The workshop may be offered at the home, Schloss Leopoldskron, Salzburg, Austria or in hybrid form.

Eligibility

  • Open to an experienced Mediation Coach/Facilitator and/or a Public Speaking Coach/Facilitator.

Deliverables

The deliverables will be defined by Salzburg Global in collaboration with the Coach/Facilitator. It is envisioned that these will include but are not limited to:

  • A half-day mediation workshop
  • Brief written feedback on the workshop– including perceived team strengths and suggested areas for further development
  • Training materials as relevant
