1. Tongarewa Scholarship
The Tongarewa Scholarship celebrates Victoria University of Wellington’s commitment to the international student community. They award a range of these scholarships to international students each year. This is a partial fee-based scholarship that will be put towards your tuition fees for one year of study. Applicants can be either entering their first year of an undergraduate degree or entering a postgraduate degree programme at Victoria University of Wellington.

2. Vice Chancellor’s International Excellence Scholarship
The University welcomes applications for the Vice Chancellor’s International Excellence Scholarship from international students who are new to studying at the University of Waikato, and who will be coming to study here for face-to-face study in 2024.

3. Bickerton-Widdowson Trust Memorial Scholarship
The purpose of this scholarship is to assist students in the continuance of studies in the School of Fine Arts at the University of Canterbury. The Value/Benefit of this scholarship is financial assistance with the costs associated with university study, up to a value of $2,000. The applicant must be enrolled in a programme of study in the School of Fine Arts at the University of Canterbury.

4. Michael Baldwin Memorial Scholarship
For citizens of any South Pacific Nation (excluding New Zealander and Australian citizens), who can demonstrate a need for financial support in order to undertake study. Candidates must be enrolled or intending to enroll in approved full-time study. The scholarship is valued up to $10,000.

5. Vice Chancellor’s International Excellence Scholarship
The University welcomes applications for the Vice Chancellor’s International Excellence Scholarship from international students who are new to studying at the University of Waikato, and who will be coming to study here for face-to-face study in 2024. Students who study online with the University are not eligible to apply for the Vice-Chancellor’s International Excellence Scholarship.

6. The New Zealand NCUK University of Waikato Bursary
An unlimited number of bursaries are available to NCUK graduates who meet the eligibility requirements and are intending on degree-level study at the University of Waikato in New Zealand, in 2023 and 2024. No application is required. The Bursary will be applied to tuition fees only. This bursary is for students who are able to begin their studies physically in New Zealand, it will not be applied to students who begin their studies online

7. University of Waikato International Entrance Scholarship for School Leavers
For international students completing Year 13 (or equivalent) at a NZ high school/learning institution in 2023 and intending to enrol full-time in an undergraduate degree at UoW in A Trimester 2024. Students must have completed study at NCEA Level 2 and/or 3, or equivalent. There is no application for this scholarship, it is by automatic nomination upon application to study at the University of Waikato

8. New Zealand Excellence Award (NZEA)
The New Zealand Excellence Awards (NZEA) are jointly funded by New Zealand universities and Education New Zealand (ENZ). The NZEA features scholarships across seven New Zealand universities, offering an opportunity for Indian students to experience New Zealand excellence in various programmes. The scholarships are available for the undergraduate level. This scholarship is for student in India

9. Victoria University of Wellington Study Abroad Scholarship
The scholarship is open to international students who plan to experience New Zealand culture through the Study Abroad and Exchange programme at Victoria University of Wellington. Successful applicants must be willing to participate in marketing activities to promote Study Abroad and Exchange opportunities to students at Victoria University of Wellington. Consideration is given to experiences, attributes, backgrounds and academic achievements.

10. Beatrice Ratcliffe Entry-Level Scholarship in Music
The Scholarship was established in 2016. Richard Guy Ratcliffe bequeathed funds to the School of Music at the University of Auckland from the Beatrice Ratcliffe Charitable Trust for scholarships. The main purpose of the Scholarship is to encourage and support students commencing undergraduate study in the School of Music.
