Deadline: Rolling Basis
Calling all ASEAN youth organisations who want to do more for the ASEAN community! Apply for the Singapore-ASEAN Youth Fund (SAYF) 2024. The SAYF aims to promote greater interaction among ASEAN youth. It supports projects which foster unity and forge friendship among ASEAN youths and increase awareness and understanding of ASEAN culture.
Create a better community not only in your own backyard, but all over ASEAN with the SAYF. Join hands and promote ASEAN youth interaction and greater mutual understanding with other Youth Sector Organisations. Network with one another, share best practices and partner one another in joint youth projects to foster greater community building efforts.
Funding
- The SAYF funds projects on a cost-sharing basis. Approved projects will be funded up to 80% of the total allowable project cost.
- Each organisation is subject to a grant limit of SGD$50,000 per financial year starting from April 1 each year to March 31 the following year.
- Projects that indicate other sources of funding or use cost-recovery measures to cover at least part of the project cost will be considered favourably.
- The SAYF does not fund gifts and prizes including tokens of appreciation, vouchers and awards such as trophies, medals etc., and any fixed assets. For other cost items not listed, it will be reviewed in relation to its necessity to the project.
Eligibility
- Open to:
- Non-Profit Organisation in ASEAN whose primary organisational focus is youth development or which runs programmes for or involving youths in ASEAN such as NGOs, Voluntary Welfare Organisation, Charitable Organisation.
- Educational Institution in ASEAN
- Youth Focal Point in ASEAN
- Project’s content/message must not violate the laws of any participating country.
- Project must not engage in any proselytising of religion or political ideologies. In particular, projects must respect the religious, ethnic and political sensitivities of the participating countries.
- Project should also fall within one of the following themes:
- Education
- Employment and Future of Work
- Health and Wellbeing
- Inclusivity/ Support for the Vulnerable
- Environment and Sustainability
- Volunteerism
- Youth Leadership
- Youth Engagement
