Applications are open for the Swiss FinTech Awards 2024. The purpose of the Swiss FinTech Awards is to promote Swiss fintech innovators and start-ups to contribute to the strong Swiss fintech ecosystem. The Awards recognize outstanding fintech start-ups and influencers. The winners are chosen by a renowned jury consisting of 20 fintech experts.
The categories include:
- Early Stage Start-up of the Year: For fintech start-ups with a Swiss connection which don’t have a product-market-fit yet. They recommend this category for start-ups which are currently working on a first demo, prototype or which are about to go-to-market with the first product or service.
- Growth Stage Start-up of the Year: For fintech start-ups with a Swiss connection which have a product-market-fit and are on a growth trajectory. They recommend this category for start-ups which have a successful product on the market, a working business model and clear signs of (exponential) growth.
- FinTech Influencer of the Year: For outstanding personalities or organizations who have advanced the Swiss fintech ecosystem. The candidates are nominated by the jury members. There’s no public application process.
Eligibility
- All fintech start-ups with a Swiss connection can apply. This includes, for example Swiss founders (active in Switzerland and/or abroad) or organizations with a Swiss head office.
- All sorts of fintech verticals (Crypto / DLT, InsurTech, Data Driven Finance, Investing and Asset Management, Payments, RegTech, Security, WealthTech etc.) are eligible.
Application
The following are milestones for the awards:
- March 4, 2024: Application phase ends for start-ups. No applications can be accepted after this deadline.
- Mid of April 2024: The top 5 candidates of the categories Early Stage Start-up of the Year and Growth Stage Start-up of the Year will be announced.
- April 24 & 25, 2024: Accenture’s Boot Camp for top 5 start-ups of the categories Early Stage Start-up of the Year and Growth Stage Start-up of the Year takes place. At the Boot Camp, start-ups benefit from free coaching from various experienced advisors and fintech entrepreneurs. Furthermore, start-ups prepare the speed dating event where they meet all the jury members
- May 22, 2024: Pitching event for top 5 start-ups of the categories Early Stage Start-up of the Year and Growth Stage Start-up of the Year with all jury members and members of the awards supporters club takes place. Start-ups meet important decision makers and influencers from the finance and fintech industry. At this event, start-ups pitch to the audience and expand their network.
- End of May 2024: The awards finalists will be announced. The finalists can pitch at the leading fintech conference FinTech 2024 by Finanz und Wirtschaft Forum.
- June 11, 2024: Start-up finalists pitch at Finanz und Wirtschaft Forum FinTech 2024. In the evening, the award ceremony takes place at the Swiss FinTech Awards Night 2024.
