The Leadership and Community Development (LCD) Mentoring Programme is a one-year programme which seeks to engage quality Mentors who have demonstrated outstanding passion for leadership and social development, with the aim of molding the leadership skills of secondary school students in Cross River State, through a mentor-mentee relationship.
The programme Mentors are young professionals who through a standard curriculum and guided learning activities, lead the teenagers to find appropriate answers to life questions and solutions to challenges they experience as young people. Mentors play a vital role in the Foundation’s quest to raise a generation of transformational leaders who are empowered to take responsibility for their own lives and for driving positive change in their communities.
The Leadership and Community Development (LCD) Mentoring Programme is implemented by The Bridge Leadership Foundation (TBLF).
Eligibility
- Open to youth within the age of 21 – 40years;
- Undergraduate, OND, HND, B.sc, MSc, PhD, 2023 Batch C Corps Members Serving within these LGAs are eligible to apply;
- Must be resident within the targeted Local Government Areas in Cross River State;
- Passionate about driving impact among adolescents;
- Possess great leadership, mentoring and facilitation skills to train students in public secondary schools using the programme curriculum.
Application
- The programme is targeted at mentoring adolescents in public secondary schools between the ages of 10-17years.
- All applications are reviewed with consideration to the programme scope and every information submitted remains highly confidential.
- Availability: 1-Year Commitment
- Target Location: Calabar South, Calabar Municipality, Bekwara, Obudu and Obanliku Local Government Areas of Cross River State.
