Deadline: May 1, 2025

Applications are open for the Amazon Devices Climate Tech Accelerator 2025. The Amazon Devices Climate Tech Accelerator is your launchpad to transforming the future of consumer electronics. Join this 16-week program that kicks off with an intensive bootcamp, where you will work with Amazon and Industry mentors to craft a winning pitch to Amazon Devices and Services decision makers.

Selected innovators will work with Amazon’s technical experts to validate their solutions and assess deployment potential. The program culminates in your company’s breakout moment: A final pitch to Amazon Devices and Services leaders that can green light commercial and technical discussions to access millions of Amazon customers!

Focus Areas

  • Energy efficiency: Innovations that can reduce energy needs on displays, cameras, and speakers. Specific areas of focus are sensors, microphones, networking equipment, and other components impacting power consumption.
  • Displays: Innovations that can decarbonize displays or the components that support them across initial design, manufacturing, customer usage, and recycling.
  • Device Batteries: Innovations for Amazon device batteries that can increase recycled content, promote efficiency, extend battery life, and/or reduce their manufacturing footprint.
  • Low Carbon Materials: Innovative materials such as carbon-captured polyoxymethylene (CPOM), bioplastics, recycled carbon fiber, and bio-based polymers, recycled metals, and recycled alloys.
  • Artificial Intelligence (AI): Innovations that can unlock new pathways to optimize product designs, extend device lifespans, and enable more energy-efficient customer product use.
  • Printed Circuit Boards (PCBs): Innovations for PCBs that can increase recyclability, reuse, and waste reduction such as biodegradable PCBs and additive manufacturing processes.
  • Circularity: Innovations that can facilitate Amazon’s shift towards closed-loop materials management and a more circular economy for its devices and packaging such as product lifetime expansion, recyclability, and component reuse.
  • Devices Decarbonization Wildcard: Although the above are their primary focus areas, they are open to reviewing submissions for other decarbonization innovations for consumer electronics.

Benefits

  • Fast Track to Mass Growth – Opportunity to directly pitch to Amazon Devices and Services decision makers on how your innovation can be integrated into millions of Amazon devices.
  • Personalized Coaching – Receive personalized coaching to perfect your pitch including technical deep dives, workshops, and access to free business resources.
  • Growth Mentors – Be matched with industry and Amazon mentors to grow your company. Meet Amazon, MIT, and Newlab product and venture leaders.
  • Up to $100K AWS credits – Easily test and build using Amazon Web Services (AWS) credits.
  • Free Business Resources – Access free resources from MIT Solve including marketing support, legal resources, and more.
  • Equity Free Support – Accelerate your company with equity-free support for the duration of the program.
  • If you are selected to participate in the Amazon Devices Climate Tech Accelerator the cost of travel and accommodation for your team representative will be covered. MIT Solve will do their best to support the visa process for travel, if needed.

Eligibility

  • You should have a developed hardware or software tech innovation that can help to further decarbonize Amazon devices products, services, and manufacturing supply chain. They are especially interested in cutting edge technologies to address areas in Energy efficiency, Displays, Device Batteries, Low Carbon Materials, Artificial Intelligence (AI), Printed Circuit Boards (PCBs), and Circularity.
  • Have a senior leader available and willing to participate in a hybrid 16-week accelerator that includes up to 3 in person events.
  • Willingness to write an Amazon Press Release/Frequently Asked Questions (PRFAQ) and potential integration assessment for their technology (if selected as a finalist by the Amazon Devices team).
  • Comfortable working in spoken and written English.

Application

Applications due by 12:00 PM EDT on May 1, 2025. Late applications will not be considered.
