Applications are open for the Social Shifters Global Innovation Challenge 2025. Social Shifters Global Innovation Challenge is designed to support young people (18-30 years), from anywhere in the world, who want to take action on the social and environmental issues that impact them and their community.
The programme and support are specially designed for young people with an idea or project at a very early stage in its development. However, they welcome social entrepreneurs and businesses at a more advanced stage of their start up journey i.e. already delivering services, products or activity with social or environmental impact.
Benefits
- Multiple grant awards available – from $3,000 to $15,000 USD – one submission makes you eligible for multiple award opportunities.
- They will help founders to develop a strong submission, provide access to exclusive learning materials and a pitch coach to all finalists.
- Applicants gain exclusive access to all-year-round opportunities including more grants, paid work and training opportunities.
Eligibility
- Open worldwide—except for countries under UK government financial sanctions (Russia, Belarus, Syria, North Korea, Iran, Cuba, Venezuela)/.
- Be 18-30 years (must be verified by government ID).
- Your idea must contribute to at least one of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals.
- They are open to ideas, projects, and business solutions of all kinds. You can be in the process of developing a completely new idea, testing a concept that you have been working on for a while, or you might already have had some success in implementing the solution. Projects can be implemented on a for-profit or non-profit basis.
