Applications are open for the InnovaCities Regenerative Innovation Competition 2025. The 14th International Fair of Smart, Happy, Humane and Resilient Cities, InnovaCities 2025, is now accepting applications for the prestigious Regenerative Innovation Competition, to be held from September 15 to 17, 2025, in Foz do Iguaçu, Paraná, Brazil a city celebrated as one of the seven wonders of the modern world.
This remarkable event is jointly organized by ABIPIR, the City Hall of Foz do Iguaçu, the BRICS Academy, and the International Federation of Inventors’ Associations (IFIA), among other partners. The initiative aims to unite visionary minds from BRICS, BRICS+ countries, as well as Latin America and the Caribbean, in an effort to generate breakthrough solutions in fields such as:
- Artificial Intelligence (AI)
- Urban Sustainability
- Renewable Energy
- Socio-environmental Technologies
- Health Innovation
- New Economic Systems and Governance
The competition seeks not only to accelerate scientific and technological advancements but also to establish Foz do Iguaçu as a global hub for innovation and social impact. It will serve as a vibrant platform for collaboration among citizens, researchers, entrepreneurs, startups, institutions, and government entities.

Eligibility
- Open to individuals aged 16 and above, including representatives of academic institutions, third-sector organizations, startups, and traditional businesses.
- Applicants are required to submit an innovative project aligned with one of the five thematic categories outlined in the registration form.
