Applications are open for the Muna Kalati’s SDG4Kids Animation Contest 2025. Muna Kalati’s SDG4Kids Animation Contest invites animators, storytellers, educators, and creatives across Africa to turn the UN Sustainable Development Goals into engaging, child-friendly animations. Let’s inspire change—one story at a time.

Theme: Inspiring African Children and Youth for Sustainable Development

​They are looking for outstanding animated stories that inspire, educate, and empower kids on topics like quality education, healthcare, gender equality, climate action, and more. Can your story unlock a child’s imagination and hope for a brighter future? Step up, share your voice, and sign up today to make a difference!

Eligibility

Open to:

  • 2D/3D/AI Animators
  • Students & Creative Teams
  • Individual, Students, Studios
  • ONGs or Educadores
  • Anyone passionate about storytelling for change!

Women are strongly encouraged to apply!

Submission Guidelines

  • Participants are at liberty to submit more than one animated story
  • Include a short description of the goal in your own words
  • Animations must address one or more SDGs, highlighting actions taken by children/youth
  • Length: Minimum – 3min
  • Language: Any African language or English/French/Portuguese (with English subtitles)
  • Format: MP4 or MOV (HD)
  • Eligible animation types (traditional and AI-assisted)
  • Original content only
