Applications are open for the Anita Hill Scholarship 2026. Professor Anita Hill’s courage transformed the national conversation on gender, power, accountability, and justice. Her lifelong commitment to equality continues to inspire generations of lawyers, advocates, and public servants. The Anita Hill Scholarship honors that legacy by supporting law students who demonstrate a commitment to advancing democracy, civil rights, and gender equity.

Established by a coalition of Professor Hill’s former students and fiscally sponsored by StitchCrew, the scholarship provides financial support to law students whose work, life, or interests reflect Professor Hill’s enduring values of integrity, courage, and public service.

Scholarship

  • Five $10,000 scholarships will be distributed November 2026.

Eligibility

  • Be at least 18 years old;
  • Currently enrolled in an accredited US law school as a 2L or a 3L;
  • Have at least a 3.0 GPA on a 4.0 scale;
  • Demonstrate a commitment to advancing democracy, civil rights, and gender equity;
  • Demonstrate financial need;
  • Agree to participate in the Anita Hill Scholars community, including a recognition marketing strategy and impact survey;
  • Family members of the Selection Committee or current StitchCrew staff and board are not eligible to apply.​​

Application closes September 22, 2026. Recipients will be notified by November 2026.
