Nominations are open for the UNCTAD eTrade for Women Advocates 2024. The eTrade for Women Advocates are successful and influential women entrepreneurs who are committed to tackling the gender gap.
The Advocates are appointed by the Secretary-General of the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD). They act as a role model and help chart a new path for women digital entrepreneurs across the world. They share their vision and bring the voice of women to the front, to amplify their impact at the regional and global level.
eTrade for Women combines the transformative power of women entrepreneurship with the positive impact of digital technologies. They support women digital entrepreneurs from developing countries to help them thrive as business leaders and emerge as an influential voice in the public policy debate.
Eligibility
- Be a highly successful and influential woman entrepreneur;
- Be the founder of an e-commerce or digital business;
- Based in one of the following regions: South Asia, South-East Asia, Francophone Africa, Anglophone Africa;
- Willing to inspire others and make a positive impact on your ecosystem.
