Deadline: February 29, 2024

Applications are open for the Morgan Stanley Small Business Academy 2024. Morgan Stanley’s Small Business Academy is an educational program that seeks to promote equity and empower diverse-owned small-business leaders.

The Academy focuses on helping small businesses leverage their competitive advantage, differentiate themselves in the procurement process, strengthen their business knowledge, and build their professional network. The Academy consists of a 12-week virtual, instructor-facilitated learning experience, followed by a yearlong mentorship program.

The Academy is a partnership between the Supplier Diversity Program and the Firm’s Institute for Inclusion as part of its commitment to advancing economic outcomes in underserved communities through our products, services and thought leadership.

At Morgan Stanley, they acknowledge the barriers and resource constraints that often prevent small businesses from getting their foot in the door, resulting in a gap between available resources and diverse suppliers. With a mission to help bridge this gap, the Academy provides small businesses with the expertise to help them win work with financial services firms and other industries.

Benefits

The Morgan Stanley Small Business Academy provides small businesses with the expertise to win work in financial services and other industries.

  • Learn from Morgan Stanley leaders and subject matter experts who will cover relevant business topics and share their industry knowledge. Take part in training and apply what you learn in interactive working sessions with other Small Business participants, Morgan Stanley leaders, and subject matter experts in the process.
  • Gather insights and feedback from Morgan Stanley leaders who look forward to building relationships with each of the Morgan Stanley Small Business Academy participants. As a program graduate, gain access to the growing Morgan Stanley Small Business Academy alumni network, where you can stay connected to your cohort and build relationships with other Business Academy participants.
  • Participate in 1:1 mentoring sessions to set goals and learn how to apply key principles for success to your business.
  • Successfully complete the Morgan Stanley Small Business Academy curriculum and pitch a business case, incorporating key takeaways from the Academy and an implementation plan, to a panel of Morgan Stanley judges for potential access to capital.
