Deadline: May 23, 2024

Applications are open for the Values Partnerships (VPI) Summer Fellowship Program 2024. Values Partnerships is the country’s largest Black-owned social impact agency. They develop creative engagement campaigns for diverse sectors and audiences, provide strategic advice on complex issues, and market and produce films and television programs with meaning and value.

They help a range of companies, organizations and brands tackle tough challenges related to race and culture; form trust-based partnerships with community leaders; and launch campaigns that have an impact on their clients and the world around them.

At Values Partnerships, you will join a team of strategists, applying your skills to a range of administrative and substantive tasks for clients in the corporate, non-profit, faith, advocacy, and entertainment spaces. You will assist with drafting, editing, and preparing written content as well as performing various outreach and client follow-up tasks. You may be asked to complete other tasks as they arise. You will be included in regular staff meetings and occasional client meetings.

Remuneration

  • You will be expected to work at least four days a week for at least five hours a day at a rate of $18 an hour between June 12-September 4. Stipends will be remitted monthly on the 20th of each month.

Eligibility

  • Applicant must be based in the US;
  • Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree program and maintaining student status throughout the program; or
  • Recently completed a Bachelor’s degree and are returning to education on a full-time basis upon completing the internship;
  • Able to commit to the full June-August program at Values Partnerships;
  • Previous experience and/or interest in digital communications, social media, business consulting, advocacy, or community building preferred.

Applicant must also have the following in their workspace:

  • Access to a computer;
  • A strong wireless or wired internet connection; and
  • A mobile phone or landline that can be used during working hours.

Application

Submit a cover letter, resume, and writing sample for review. References may be requested after the initial interview. You can expect to receive notification about the status of your application within three days. Finalists will participate in a video interview with various members of the Values Partnerships team.

Send application materials and/or questions to Alex Blanc, [email protected] and Kelsei Wharton, [email protected].
